A new museum seeks to share the richness and diversity of the African American experience. The National Museum of African American History and Culture, located on the National Mall in Washington, DC, was established by Congress in 2003 after decades of efforts to promote and highlight the contributions of African Americans. The museum has collected more than 36,000 artifacts and contains exhibits that describe how the African American experience has shaped virtually every aspect of American life, including the economy, the struggle for dignity and rights, science, business, literature, music and other aspects of culture, the military, and much more. MacArthur is proud to be a Founding Donor to the museum.
