After Earthjustice filed a lawsuit, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) committed to restore access to climate-related resources and websites. The USDA had purged information including how farmers can access funding for conservation practices. Resources include climate-smart farming, accessing loans, forest conservation, and rural clean energy projects.

Earthjustice, a grantee, filed the lawsuit with the Knight First Amendment Institute on behalf of Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York, NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council), and the Environmental Working Group. Restoring access will help farmers and communities make evidence-based decisions and navigate extreme weather, like drought and wildfires.
