A legal services incubator designed to expand access to legal services and help newer lawyers start innovative, socially conscious law practices in the Chicago area is being replicated around the United States. The Justice Entrepreneurs Project, supported by MacArthur through a grant to the Chicago Bar Foundation, seeks to expand access to affordable legal help for low- and moderate-income people in the Chicago area, to establish new, sustainable law firms focused on providing affordable services to those populations, and to develop new and innovative models of legal services. The Project’s module is being implemented in Texas, Georgia, Iowa, Oregon, Minnesota, Florida, Canada, and the Province of Victoria Australia.
