MacArthur grantees P.O.V. and Frontline received awards at this year's News and Documentary Emmy Awards presentation. Frontline and Frontline/World also received four competitive awards, including one for "Outstanding Investigative Journalism―Long Form" for a program on human trafficking ("Sex Slaves") and another for "Outstanding Historical Programming―Long Form" for "The Last Year in Iraq." One of the awards presenters noted that "Frontline produces more hours of documentary programming each year than all of the commercial broadcasters combined."
