Nigeria anti corruption rally

MacArthur grantees marked Nigeria's National Anti-Corruption Day with a range of activities to bring awareness to corruption issues throughout the country. Several civil society organizations, including Corruption Anonymous and the African Centre for Media and Information Literacy, held rallies during which they called on the government for greater transparency in its work to combat corruption. Many organizations issued statements, including the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre, urging President Buhari to honor campaign promises to address corruption. The Nigerian Bar Association held a daylong lecture on "Corruption and Rule of Law" and the University of Kent School of Law held conferences and workshops on strategies for reducing corruption.
