PBS NewsHour was awarded $3.5 million by the MacArthur Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. The funding will enable travel across the country for reporting from the field and will support the Digital Election Data Center, a tool for viewers to follow the election.
