The BLOCK Project’s Porch Light Debates are starting conversations about how to address uneven investment, widening income gaps, racial segregation, and other factors that affect the health of millions of families who pay too much for housing, live in overcrowded or poor quality homes, or move frequently. Developed by the MacArthur-supported ChangeLab Solutions, the debates bring in perspectives from leading practitioners and scholars grappling with what it takes to make healthy and equitable housing a reality. The first debate is a four-part discussion that focuses on the community development work of Bon Secours Hospital in Baltimore.
