Since 2016, Chicago community groups have created fun, engaging, and safe neighborhoods with over 1,900 projects, programs, and events for their communities with $13 million of support from the Partnership for Safe & Peaceful Communities (PSPC). This is the 10th year of the PSPC Chicago Fund that supports grassroots leadership activating neighborhoods and blocks on the South and West Sides by hosting events and festivals, organizing mentorship and learning, fostering health and healing spaces, and more.

This year’s recipients are strengthening community through activities ranging from neighborhood clean ups and 5Ks to summer mentorship, basketball tournaments, and a survivors’ picnic. Partnering with the Black & Brown Collective for Community Solutions to Gun Violence for the 10th anniversary, PSPC is conducting an impact evaluation to help inform the Fund’s future.
