A viral video featuring celebrity activist Prince Ea is leveraging the power of social media and crowd funding to encourage people to take action to reduce deforestation and curb climate change. The Code REDD Stand for Trees campaign, supported by MacArthur, has already offset more than 17,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide by asking people to purchase a $10 certificate to offset one tone of carbon dioxide by protecting a critical forest of their choosing.
