MacArthur’s Safety and Justice Challenge seeks applications for the second round of competition through its Innovation Fund, which supports jurisdictions across the country to design and test innovative local justice reforms to safely drive down jail usage and reduce racial and ethnic disparities in local justice systems. The Challenge will host informational webinars for interested applicants. Sites selected through the Innovation Fund, which is managed by the Urban Institute, will receive a grant of $50,000 as well as technical assistance and peer learning in their efforts to rethink their local justice systems.
