The 5th annual Digital Media and Learning Competition, dubbed the Trust Challenge, awarded $1.2 million to 13 projects that will help foster trust in online learning environments. The MacArthur-supported competition selected projects for their ability to advance trust, privacy, and equity in the context of the core values of connected learning, an approach to education that takes advantage of today’s abundance of information and social connection. Recipients will receive between $35,000 and $150,000 to tackle issues of access, data management, and technical interoperability.
