MacArthur and Gates Foundations Support White Ribbon Alliance to Reduce Maternal Mortality

The White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood (WRA) has received $4.9 million in grants from the MacArthur Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help make pregnancy and childbirth safer for women and newborns around the world.
The Mexican Midwifery Association, created with support from MacArthur, has been accepted to the International Confederation of Midwives, an important step toward Mexico’s fuller recognition of professional midwifery. Read More
