From restorative justice circles in Englewood to a mural project in Humboldt Park and a local garden and farm in South Austin, the Partnership for Safe and Peaceful Communities  awarded 132 grants to Chicago neighborhood organizations working to foster stronger community bonds and crowd out violence over the summer and beyond. Community groups were awarded a total of $850,000 for activities designed to reclaim parks, public spaces, and promote constructive engagement with law enforcement in 19 prioritized communities. Grants range from $1,000 to $10,000.
