Many MacArthur grantees have responded to the President’s recent executive order temporarily banning entry into the United States by refugees and immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries. Their responses include a lawsuit by the ACLU; resources posted by Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights to help immigrants obtain legal assistance; Migration Policy Institute data and analysis on the populations affected by the order; a Spanish-language statement by Enlace Chicago; and statements from Kids in Need of Defense and the Resurrection Project in Chicago.
