Firelight Media Creates Documentary on Bias Awareness

Firelight Media developed a short documentary for Starbucks on bias awareness in public spaces. Filmmaker and MacArthur Fellow Stanley Nelson, who leads Firelight, opens the documentary, which aims to provide historical context so Americans understand how implicit bias continues the legacy of legal segregation. Firelight, a talent incubator and documentary accelerator for minority filmmakers with important stories to tell, is the recipient of a MacArthur Award for Creative and Effective Institutions and a grantee, though this documentary was commissioned by Starbucks.
