The Institute for Comprehensive Community Development will offer training, build capacity, and document what is working or not in community development efforts across the country. The Institute cites as a model Chicago's New Communities Program, the nation's largest comprehensive community development effort, which is administered by LISC and supported by MacArthur. MacArthur Vice President Julia Stasch addressed the Institute's opening meeting. Syndicated writer Neal Peirce highlighted the Institute in a recent column.
