Established in 2011, Tiger Eye Social Foundation is a Ghana-based nonprofit specializing in investigative reporting on corruption in sub-Saharan Africa. A previous Foundation award to Tiger Eye is popularizing undercover investigative journalism techniques among young and mid-career Nigerian journalists and strengthening citizens' voice in the fight against corruption. With this renewal, Tiger Eye is training and mentoring young journalists, including those from marginalized communities, which helps shed light on issues affecting those communities; supporting Nigerian investigative journalists working with Tiger Eye; investigating transborder corruption cases originating from Nigeria; and establishing an independent, Africa-wide platform to publicize investigative reports that may otherwise find no place in traditional media houses. The project is part of On Nigeria's work to strengthen investigative journalism and media practices as part of curtailing corruption and promoting accountability.
