Brekete Family Reality Radio and TV Talk Magazine is a Nigerian nonprofit established in 2011. It produces a daily program using research, investigation, dialogue, mediation, and advocacy to help citizens, especially indigent populations, access service providers and regulators and demand accountability and compensation for abuses. The Brekete program reaches listeners across the country and abroad through radio, television, and social media. It is regarded as the “voice for the voiceless” because of its commitment to protecting the rights of ordinary people and giving them a platform to demand transparency and accountability. This renewal enables the organization to continue to air its live, weekly program on education and electricity; expand its operations to Kaduna State; hold townhall meetings to facilitate dialogue and mediation between consumers and service providers; track remediation promises made by contractors and service providers; mobilize citizens and amplify corruption-related investigative reports on their weekly shows; and upgrade its website.

Located in Abuja, the Brekete Family Reality Radio and TV Talk Magazine is a non-profit organization that produces a live, daily program using investigation, dialogue, mediation, and advocacy to help Nigerians, especially lower-income populations, to demand accountability and compensation for abuses. This award supports Brekete to air a weekly program on electricity and education, which allows citizens to report corruption and seek redress. The project is expected to contribute to a reduction in corruption, especially retail corruption, in those sectors and an increase in citizens' participation in the new administration’s anti-corruption program.
