The award provides core support to the organization’s Human Rights Program (HRP) which enables, protects, and amplifies the efforts of human rights defenders with strategic technology interventions. It is a “multidirectional bridge” between Silicon Valley and human rights communities that connects defenders of human rights to leading technology companies and decision-makers, while also building open source software that has not been met by the commercial technology market and bringing it to the human rights organizations.
