OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA — ChangeLab Solutions is a public health-oriented law and policy organization aimed at building the capacity of leaders across the country to address a range of chronic diseases through practical policy solutions. The grant supports a community of practice to generate model partnerships between local public health officials and housing agencies to improve individual and community-level health outcomes through affordable housing. The project offers practical approaches and engages health leaders in efforts to improve the quality, stability and affordability of housing. Funds support the cultivation of a network of local and national public health and housing experts, policy organizations, and researchers to help inform model approaches and policies. ChangeLab will conduct landscape reviews and interviews, host a convening, and produce an essay series that will provide regular engagement with actors in both fields.

The MacArthur Foundation awarded ChangeLab Solutions $150,000 between 1978 and 2017.
