OpenHood is a non-profit organization founded in 2009 and dedicated to creating stronger, more active, and more connected communities through documentary film, television and digital storytelling. OpenHood is producing the Oakland Police Project, directed by Peter Nicks, an observational documentary that follows the troubled Oakland, California Police Department as it works to rebuild trust with the community it serves. The film will air on public television in 2016.
