    CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — Green Star Movement is an arts organization that aims to inspire youth and community members through the creation of public art. Since 2005, Green Star Movement has paired urban youth with teaching artists and adult volunteers to create murals in more than 50 neighborhoods throughout Chicago. This International Connections Fund award enables an exchange between teaching artists and youth apprentices in Chicago and Jamaica in which participants collaborate on multiple mural projects.

    CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — In support of a visual arts exchange with Brazil. Four murals will be created and installed, three in Brazil's favelas and one on Chicago's South Side.

The MacArthur Foundation awarded Green Star Movement $100,000 between 1978 and 2017.
