2012 (Inactive Grant)
AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS — The Dialogue Advisory Group is an Amsterdam-based non-profit that discreetly assists government, inter-government, and NGO actors with international mediation and dialogue efforts to reduce violent conflict and establish stable societies. The proposed grant would support the third annual “Amsterdam Dialogue: Promoting Peace and Protecting Rights.” The conference will bring together peace mediators and human rights practitioners to engage in a practical examination of the interplay between peace promotion and human rights in a number of transitional justice settings, including Kenya. MacArthur funding would cover conference-related expenditures including travel, daily expenditures, and salaries.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded Dialogue Advisory Group $190,000 between 1978 and 2017.
