Established in 2013, Black Youth Project 100 Education Fund (BYP100) is an activist member-based organization of 18 to 35 year-old Black young adults dedicated to creating justice and freedom through a lens that elevates the perspectives of women and the LGBTQI communities. Its work focuses on leadership development, direct action organizing, strategic communications, issue advocacy, and political education. The organization is headquartered in Chicago, IL with chapters in Durham, NC; Detroit, MI; Jackson, MS; Milwaukee, WI; New Orleans, LA; New York, NY; and Washington, DC. With this institutional support award, BYP100 will upgrade technology across the organization and provide leadership development opportunities to its staff and members.
