$150,000

The mission of the University of Southern California Sol Price School for Public Policy (Price School) is to improve the quality of life for people and their communities, here and abroad through education and research that promotes innovative solutions to the most critical issues facing society. This award supports efforts to demonstrate how specific policies and practices at the intersection of immigration and local justice systems can produce better outcomes with respect to humane and fairer immigration control as well as improved public safety. The nexus between the two policy realms of immigration and justice reform provides an opportunity to build upon the existing immigration policy and advocacy platform to generate greater involvement of the Latino community in justice systems reform.
