Partnership for a Secure America is a nonprofit organization that advances bipartisanship on today’s critical national security and foreign policy challenges. This project was selected through a request for proposals competition, co-organized by MacArthur and Carnegie Corporation of New York, entitled Heading Off Nuclear Catastrophe. This award supports a Congressional engagement agenda that seeks to inform Members and their staff about the imperative of safeguarding and eliminating nuclear weapons-useable material. It also aims to provide civil society organizations with a better understanding of Congressional attitudes on nuclear materials security and to identify opportunities to improve civil society’s effectiveness.
