West Coast Infrastructure Exchange

Portland, Oregon

Grants

2014 (2 years)
$300,000

Established in 2012, the West Coast Infrastructure Exchange promotes job creation and economic competitiveness by improving the pipeline of investable public infrastructure projects across four jurisdictions--California, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. Meaningful federal assistance appears unlikely and will almost certainly fall short of the estimated $3 trillion needed for necessary repairs and upgrades to make critical infrastructure more resilient to climate change impacts. The grant supports education and technical assistance to state and local governments about innovative private sector financing and contracting approaches not yet applied fully to public infrastructure projects.
