The University of Massachusetts Boston is a public research university working in partnership with the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences (PASS) to promote the study and progress of the social sciences, primarily economics, sociology, law and political science. The University of Massachusetts Boston and PASS are convening a workshop titled “The COVID-19 Generation: Children and Youth In and After the Pandemic", which intends to assess the impact of COVID–19 on children and families, particularly the most vulnerable. Participants—leading scientists, social scientists, educators, humanists, religious leaders, policy makers, philanthropists, practitioners, and NGOs from around the world— are coming together to examine the impact of COVID–19 on the physical, socio-emotional, cognitive and meta-cognitive, and moral development of children with a focus on education, health, and mental health challenges and responses.
