Strongheart Group

The Strongheart Group is producing Collisions, a virtual reality documentary that takes the viewer on a journey to meet Nyarri Nyarri Morgan, a Martu elder and activist from Western Australia who, as a young man, witnessed a British atomic bomb test in the desert. Today, his community is built around the base of a mountain filled with valuable uranium deposits, and Nyarri works to protect it from the efforts of multinational mining companies. The intended outcome is a virtual reality documentary, available on smartphones to wide audiences, that uses the power of immersive storytelling to generate understanding about the continued daily costs of nuclear weapons, a topic largely out of the public’s mind.
