The non-profit State of the USA, Inc. provides the American public with high-quality information about changing societal, economic, and environmental conditions through the Key National Indicators System, which provides policymakers, the media, business leaders, citizens and others with information on key measures and indicators relating to health, education, housing, crime and justice, the environment, and the economy; and helps people assess where the nation is progressing or stalled; identify problems that the nation faces; and inform policies and solutions. SUSA will use this grant to transition the effort, which has been privately funded, to its ultimate state as a public/private partnership with the Federal government.
