Raven II International Feeder LP

The Raven Indigenous Impact Fund II LP invests in companies in the United States and Canada that are owned and run by Indigenous people. The Fund, which builds on the Foundation-supported Raven Indigenous Impact Fund I, seeks to adapt conventional venture capital finance to Indigenous contexts and use it to build the Indigenous economy. By providing early- to growth-stage capital to scale up Indigenousled enterprises, the Fund bridges a financing gap that is particularly acute for businesses owned by Indigenous people in North America, while also increasing community resilience by stimulating Indigenousled activity. A follow-on Foundation investment in Fund II will continue enabling the Fund’s manager to build a demonstrable track record, while also helping to demonstrate that venture capital can foster the development and growth of Indigenous-owned enterprises. Continued support for this first-of-its-kind Indigenous owned and led fund manager contributes to systemic change and the Foundation’s Just Imperative by helping to shift resources to Indigenous control and decision making.
