$500,000

Founded in 2007, the Ohio Organizing Collaborative (OOC) organizes marginalized people in Ohio, especially young people, people with lower income, and Black people. OOC believes in improving the material conditions in communities and changing the systems that perpetuate injustices. Its central purpose is to recruit, develop, and align everyday people to build enough power to advance a shared political agenda in Ohio for racial and economic justice. A strong justice agenda is essential for the equitable implementation of climate policy from local to federal programs. This award supports general operations.
