Native Ways Federation (NWF), founded in 2008 and based in Saint Paul, MN, uplifts the Native nonprofit community through education, advocacy, outreach, and collaboration, and fosters increased participation by American Indians in the control of charitable activities. Its goals are threefold: 1) strengthen the circle of giving by uniting Native organizations to raise awareness and support for the communities NWF serves; 2) better serve Native communities by becoming more effective Native nonprofit organizations; and 3) ensure that nonprofit organizations working on behalf of Native communities observe the highest levels of ethical standards and fiscal responsibility. This grant supports the general operations of Native Ways Federation.

Founded by seven national Native nonprofits in 2006, Native Ways Federation (NWF) works to activate informed giving to nonprofits in Indian Country through donor education and advocacy. By uniting and elevating Native-led organizations, NWF promotes accountability to Indigenous people, issues, and organizations by establishing systems and platforms to cultivate a thriving Native nonprofit sector aligned with Indigenous values and culture. This grant provides general operating support to NWF.
