2014 Holiday Award National Women Veterans United addresses the unmet needs of Chicago's growing cohort of women veterans. Its mission is to ensure that women veterans are made aware of--and have access to--the VA benefits to which they are entitled. Holiday Award funds will be used to hire a part-time staff person, provided peer-to-peer and Veteran Service Officer training for all of its volunteers, and to host a 10th anniversary celebration.
