The National Network for Immigrant & Refugee Rights (NNIRR), founded in 1986, is an alliance of local, state, and national immigrant rights organizations. NNIRR helps connect U.S. civil society movements to global migration policy discussions. This grant supports the inclusion of civil society actors and perspectives from around the world in the second UN High-Level Dialogue (HLD) on International Migration and Development, taking place in October 2013 at the UN General Assembly. The project includes regional civil society consultations (in Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Europe) and support for informal civil society hearings in New York in July 2013.
