National Alliance to End Homelessness

Founded in 1983, the National Alliance to End Homelessness is the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness in the United States. This award supports its general operations.

The National Alliance to End Homelessness is a leading voice working to improve federal homelessness policy and to help communities turn policy solutions and proven practices into viable on-the-ground programs. This grant supports the work of the Alliance’s Homelessness Research Council, which includes prominent academics and researchers in the fields of homelessness and housing, and helps ensure that the Alliance’s policy agenda is informed by research, and that researchers are focused on relevant policy questions; it will be used, in part, to produce a federal homelessness research agenda.
