México Evalúa focuses on assessing the quality and effectiveness of public policies by analyzing their design, monitoring their implementation, and evaluating their results. The award supports the initial implementation of Mexico’s National Prosecutor’s Office. It supports collecting and analyzing data for assessing the institutional transition process to both the federal-level agency and the Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office. It also supports activities to share the evaluations’ results with civil society leaders, policy-makers and the media.
México Evalúa is a think tank whose primary goal is to evaluate government performance to generate information for designing public policies and promoting accountability. The award supports Mexico Evalúa’s contribution to implementing an effective National Prosecutor’s Office through technical proposals for a successful transition to the new agency. This includes the creation of a functional civil service system applicable to the agency. The policy proposals are drafted with input of civil society organizations and specialists, and are disseminated in dialogues with civil society leaders, policy-makers and through the media.
