This grant supports two years of Mission Investors Exchange’s ongoing activities to serve its member community of foundations, which include, but are not limited to, sponsorship for its 2026 conference and a special anniversary project to celebrate its two decades of contributions in the field.

MIE acts as a convening platform for all philanthropic impact investors, providing information, resources and a platform for learning, dialogue and collaboration among its members. By primarily focusing on foundations engaged in impact investing, MIE facilitates the supply of catalytic and flexible capital that this type of mission-oriented investor brings to the field to address the needs of enterprises addressing critical social challenges. This grant provides general operating support to MIE for over a year for its ongoing activities to serve its member community of foundations engaged in impact investing.

Established in 2003 and expanded in 2012 through a merger with the More for Mission Campaign, Mission Investors Exchange (MIE) is a membership network of more than 260  foundations and other charitable funders.  MIE acts as a convening platform for all philanthropic impact investors, providing information, resources and a platform for learning, dialogue and collaboration among its members. By primarily focusing on foundations, MIE facilitates the supply of catalytic, deeply mission-oriented capital that can be tailored to the distinctive needs of enterprises addressing critical social challenges. This grant provides support for MIE’s 2018 national conference, two years of membership fees for the Foundation, and support for its operations, primarily the design and development of an enhanced digital platform for use by its network.

This grant provides general operating support to the newly independent network as it undertakes strategic planning activities to develop a long-term business model and operating plan.
