Minnesota Council on Foundations

The Minnesota Council on Foundations is a membership organization that supports, organizes, and connects philanthropy across Minnesota in service of the people of the state. In coordination with the McKnight Foundation, an early member of Press Forward, the Minnesota Council on Foundations has established Press Forward Minnesota, a local Press Forward chapter that will build a philanthropic collaborative around local news for the state of Minnesota. This award supports the Minnesota Council of Foundations and its pooled fund for Press Forward Minnesota. It will help mobilize new donors and provide regranting funds to catalyze local news in a state with many rural communities that are in a news desert.
