2024 (2 years)
$200,000

The Center for Criminal Justice Research, Policy and Practice at Loyola University Chicago (the Center) was established in 2015 with the aim of leveraging the resources of a large urban university and the collective strength of diverse disciplines to promote fair, informed, and effective approaches to criminal justice policy and practice in Illinois. This award enables the Center to continue the implementation, maintenance, and expansion of the Cook County Criminal Justice Data Dashboard, a web-based source of information where practitioners, policymakers, and the public can access the most current, complete information about the Cook County criminal justice system. The award also supports the Center to enhance research and evaluation assistance to the County in using the dashboard to examine criminal justice issues from a systemwide perspective and in understanding the nature and extent of racial and ethnic disparities in policy and practice.
