The League of Women Voters Education Fund’s Public Advocacy for Voter Protection Project (the League) uses strategic communications to educate voters about what to expect at the polls, and help local election officials prepare for Election Day. Its goal is to maximize opportunities for who are eligible to vote, especially underrepresented populations, to participate in elections, and to mitigate the challenges these populations may face in the voting process. The national League works with its state Leagues to implement public education, communications, grassroots organizing, and legal strategies directed at election officials, policymakers, the courts, the media, concerned citizens, and impacted communities.
