Law Hub Development & Advocacy Centre

Law Hub Development and Advocacy Centre is a non-governmental organization established in 2021 to promote the rule of law, protect human rights, and advocate for an effective and efficient criminal justice system. With Foundation support, Law Hub conducts a baseline study of criminal justice stakeholders' level of awareness of the Administration of Criminal Justice Laws (ACJL) in 12 states; creates awareness among key stakeholders on the ACJLs; conducts bespoke trainings for select stakeholders on the ACJL; establishes a repository of relevant ACJL information to promote learning and research; undertakes analyses of selected judicial decisions focused on provisions of the ACJLs; and publishes digests of decided cases on ACJL provisions. Law Hub is coordinating the implementation of the project with other Foundation grantees. The award contributes to On Nigeria's criminal justice strategy that seeks to strengthen and deepen the legal framework for prosecuting criminal cases through implementation of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act and State level Administration of Criminal Justice Laws.
