The Illinois Campaign for Political Reform is a non-partisan public-interest group that conducts research and promotes reforms to increase public participation in government, address the role of money in politics, and encourage accountability in government. The Midwest Democracy Network is an alliance of more than 27 nonprofit, nonpartisan civic engagement organizations based in and serving six Midwestern states and promoting, among other things, fair redistricting processes. This grant will support the adaptation and use of the redistricting software application District Builder by Network members, allowing advocates and concerned citizens to draw districts that can be compared to districts drawn by legislators during official redistricting processes.
