The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) is a non-partisan policy organization that champions the principles of democracy, human rights, and international cooperation. It pursues its mission through analysis and convening, fortifying civil society, and cultivating the next generation of leaders on both sides of the Atlantic. With this award, GMF leads an exchange between city officials and neighborhood leaders from the cities of Chicago, Illinois, and Turin, Italy, to explore how cities can address and overcome systems and policies that create racial and ethnic segregation.
