Commission Shift

Founded in 2021, Commission Shift builds public support to hold the Texas Railroad Commission accountable to its mission in a shifting energy landscape. Commission Shift is educating and organizing a wide array of Texans to build support for changes at the Texas Railroad Commission that improve the agency’s function, transparency, and accountability to people and places impacted by the oil and gas industry. Commission Shift is the only watchdog organization in the state dedicated to the Texas Railroad Commission. This award supports all aspects of the organization’s general operations.
