The Coalition for Public Safety (the Coalition) is a new, independent, non-profit organization dedicated to achieving criminal justice reform at the federal, state, and local levels through policy research, public education, and advocacy. Together with its partners from across the ideological spectrum, the Coalition represents the largest national effort working to make the justice system smarter, fairer, and more cost effective. The award supports consensus building among the Coalition's partners on policy goals and priorities, and communication and outreach activities to help increase the momentum and visibility of reform initiatives and create demand for similar efforts nationally.
