The Keck Center for International and Strategic Studies at Claremont McKenna College supports the study of critical issues in world affairs and actively promotes research into topics arising from the rapidly changing world order. This project aims to assess the geopolitical and humanitarian consequences of hypothetical economic and political changes in China. It develops and analyzes the implications of five scenarios, and conceptualizes policy responses to possible challenges related to ethnic conflict, East Asian security, economic shocks, and political reconciliation. Funds will be used for partial staff salaries, travel, workshops, and dissemination of findings.
