Chicago, Illinois

Grants

2015 (2 years)
$20,000

The Chicago International Movies and Music Festival is an annual exhibition of films and music, focused on showcasing the relationship between the two art forms. The festival includes live musical performances alongside film screenings. Last year, the festival had more than 18,000 attendees. This funding supports the Chicago International Movies and Music Festival in their partnership with Canadian music festival Pop Montreal. The goal of the exchange is for each festival to showcase the other's works, providing a new opportunity for international exposure and collaboration. This grant funds direct project expenses: travel, accommodations, artist fees, personnel, and venue rentals. It is recommended as part of the International Connections Fund.
