The Centre for Women's Health and Information (CEWHIN) is a nonprofit organization engaged in research, capacity building, and advocacy on issues related to fundamental human rights of women and girls in Nigeria. Established in 2003 by a Foundation Fund for Leadership Development Program awardee, CEWHIN facilitates a network of organizations and individuals called the Women's Development Action Network, which supports the education and economic empowerment of women and girls. Using lessons learned and tools tested in their earlier award, CEWHIN strengthens the advocacy skills of community groups, including school-based management committees and parent forums, to consolidate demands for accountability in the administration of the Home Grown School Feeding Program in Ogun State. The project is expected to strengthen community structures for sustainability as part of On Nigeria’s exit strategy from education accountability work. This tie-off award is part of a package of grants to strengthen local accountability practices and contribute to a reduction in corruption.
