The Centre for Media, Policy and Accountability (CMPA) is a non-governmental organization established to strengthen democratic governance and social development in Nigeria. With this award, CMPA seeks to strengthen the operational effectiveness of three major anti-corruption agencies (ACAs), the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), and the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB). CMPA conducts research and documentation of the ACAs; engages in staff training and peer learning to improve their internal processes; and strengthens their monitoring and evaluation capacities. CMPA fosters collaboration and coordination among the select anti-corruption agencies and shares the ACAs' performance information with the public via policy briefs and dialogues. CMPA is coordinating the implementation of the project with other Foundation grantees. The award is expected to strengthen transparency, enhance accountability, and reduce corruption in Nigeria.
